5th October 2009, Weimar
From today the 'bittorf wireless' development team will be boosted by a diploma student from the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences.
Mr. Jauch will interpret pre-existing and incoming monitoring data of selected WLAN mesh networks, which we supervise, to analyse the influence of various parameters on the real useable bandwidth. Transmitter power output, rate selection algorithm, IEEE-802.11 packet fragmentation and IEEE-802.11 collision avoidance, amongst others, are to be integrated in a multi-combinatorial optimisation. One of the aims is to visualise this extremely complex data. Knowledge gained from this work will be directly incorporated into the continued optimisation of the 'ekuku Multispot' product and thus will help to create an even faster WLAN network.
